It listens to children and adolescents every day and offers concrete answers to their requests for help, through collaboration with institutions, associations and other territorial realities.

THE POSITION

116000 is the unique European number, entrusted in Italy to the Ministry of the Interior and managed by SOS Il Telefono Azzurro Onlus, dedicated to anyone who wants to report a missing Italian or foreign child or adolescent.
Every day hundreds of children disappear in Europe and in the world. Although most children are found within the first 24 hours, many manage to return to their homes and lives after a long time, while others will never be found again.
By dialling the number 116000, in Italy it is possible to report the disappearance of a child or to provide useful information for its finding.

The operator:
- supports in the management of the 116000 telephone line
- provides administrative, legal and psychological support through a listening service
- develops the service through training and awareness raising activities as well as research and study activities on the topics of interest.

The selected people will receive a structured and operational traning in order to support the service independently.
Traning opportunities will be provided on site and abroad.


REQUIREMENTS

- Master's Degree in Humanities or Social Sciences (Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Service, Law, Criminology, Political Science, etc.).
- Experience in activities aimed at children, especially at unaccompanied foreign minors 
- Ability to listen
- Firmness in emergency situations 
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent knowledge of English  (C1)
- Willingness to operate on shifts (including nights and holidays)
- Good stress management skills

Preferable:
Study or work experience in Italy abroad in the field
